Segbroek Serenade

Earlier this year, residents of Segbroek had the chance to nominate someone who deserves a special token of appreciation. Someone who has spent years giving back to the neighbourhood, who is always there for others, or who simply makes a difference without ever seeking the spotlight. Who will receive a serenade this year remains secret until the very day itself – that's when the nominees are surprised with a live performance by students of the Royal Conservatoire.

Music at twelve locations across Segbroek

From 11:00 in the morning until well after 19:00, the Segbroek Serenade spreads across the entire neighbourhood. Performances take place at locations that matter in everyday life: a community centre, a tennis club, a café, a church, a garage and an allotment garden. Theater De Regentes plays a central role, hosting multiple serenades throughout the afternoon and evening in the Studio, the Ketelhuis, the Theatercafé, the Kleine Zaal and Het Diepe.

You decide how many serenades you want to take in. Each performance has its own atmosphere, location and story. Together they paint a vivid portrait of the people who make Segbroek what it is. Entry is accessible and the programme lends itself well to a leisurely walk through the neighbourhood.
