At Landzicht city farm in The Hague, children can learn, play and discover nature. In the spacious garden, they can build their own huts from willow branches or help look after the animals. A place where nature and adventure come together!
What can you do at the city farm?
- Take care of animals – Brush the goats in the meadow, rake the yard or help scoop poop.
- Children's book exchange station – In an old telephone booth, you will find a special mini-library with children's books to read or read aloud.
- Natural playground – Play among the greenery! There is a sandpit, swing and an exciting barefoot path.
- Cuddle time with rabbits and guinea pigs – Every afternoon from 2.30 to 3.30 p.m., children can hold the animals on their lap and gently brush them.
- Help feed the animals – Around 3.30 p.m. it's feeding time. Children can help feed and care for the animals.
Buy local products – The farm shop sells fresh fruit and vegetables from the land, as well as products from the beekeeper, such as pure honey.
Lunch Café De Smulhoeve
Discover Lunch Café De Smulhoeve: a modern and cosy lunch café with a spacious terrace directly adjacent to the green Landzigt City Farm. You will immediately feel welcome in the bright, open building – you can even take a peek into the kitchen! De Smulhoeve is the ideal place to relax and unwind with a view of the greenery. Enjoy freshly brewed barista coffee, homemade apple pie, an extensive lunch or a delicious High Tea. They work with local and sustainable products as much as possible, so you not only enjoy delicious food, but also contribute to a better environment.
