De Boterwaag is the city café of The Hague. The beautiful seventeenth-century monumental building is the perfect place for lunch, drinks and dinner. Classics such as the Boterwaag Salad or pancake must be tried.
Products are local and organic and the premises completely sustainable. As a result, they have achieved a golden Green Key label in 2023!
Also part of the Boterwaag are the Bakplaats, where they serve the best pizzas from the state-of-the-art pizza oven, and LikIt: their own ice cream parlour with freshly turned ice cream in varying flavours.

Latin dance floor
Every Wednesday evening, the Boterwaag transforms into a Latin dance floor. From 10pm onwards, you are welcome to swing the hips loose and show off your dancing skills. Both beginners and experienced dancers mingle but if you just want to come and have a look, you are of course also welcome to this now classic of an evening. Free entrance!
