This can be easy to miss as it's a couple of blocks from the Mauritshuis, but don't overlook it. There are lots of great Dutch paintings, however they're displayed in the old style, hung in multiple layers up to the ceiling. This plus the poor lighting mean that you will find it difficult to appreciate lots of the works, but the gallery is still worth visiting for the fine works on display.

A snapshot of a bygone era: even though it's only one room there's so much to absorb. Definitely worth seeing with a museum card or without if you're a fan of art or European history.

Beautiful collection shown in original setting. Rubens, Hals, Steen and more. Today it is a branch of the Mauritshuis, and can be visited together with the gevangenpoort.

Small gallery, just one room but with the walls full of paintings in the fashion of past centuries. The collection is part of the Mauritshuis, some works are very interesting, others much less. Sometimes they have just one masterpiece on loan from other museums.

Your ticket from the Mauritshuis will get you in here. A small gallery showcasing artworks the way they would have been displayed in William Vs time.
