Contains the collection of art historian Bredius and features a collection of paintings, silver and porcelain in an 18th-century town house. In 1922, Abraham Bredius left the Netherlands to live in Monaco. He left his art collection on loan to the municipality and promised that he would leave it to them on his death. He has already given the painting 'The Satyr and the Peasant' by Jan Steen as a down payment. From that moment the Bredius museum was born. Upon his death on 1946 the municipality of The Hague become the owner of the collection.
