Find your ideal Hague Christmas tree here

Here's where to buy a real The Hague Christmas tree. From December 1, Christmas tree vendors are popping up again in The Hague and Scheveningen. Still looking for a nice tree for the holidays? Whether you're looking for a tiny tree for the table or prefer to go for big and compelling, with one of these tips you can find a sales outlet near you.

Beter Boompje

Think it's a shame your Christmas tree only gets to shine once? Then adopt one! Beter Boompje replaces disposable trees for real Christmas trees that can be replanted. You order the tree online (here) and can then pick it up between December 3 and 10 at an attractive pick-up location, such as the Grote Markt, Dille& Kamille en Pluk! Return it at the beginning of January so it can be returned to the forest.

Duivenvoorde Castle

A tradition for years: the atmospheric sale of Christmas trees on the estate of Duivenvoorde Castle. The Christmas trees are grown in-house, so they are brand fresh. Most of them are 'grown on the estate' which you can dig up yourself and return after the holidays. Nice and sustainable, in other words. They also sell beautiful Nordmann fir trees, homemade Christmas wreaths, mistletoe and other Christmas greenery at this historic location.

Winter in downtown The Hague: magically beautiful

Before you decorate your tree, want to get into the winter spirit? Then visit the Royal Christmas Fair on the Lange Voorhout. The Royal Christmas Fair is one of the largest and nicest Christmas markets in the Netherlands with dozens of Christmas stalls full of mulled wine, winter coats, flammkuchen, mood lighting, wood carvings, candles and all kinds of Christmas merchandise. While shopping, the most delicious smells are also in the air, because there are also plenty of winter delicacies like glühwein, bratwurst, flammkuchen, poffertjes and apple fritters available.

After Christmas, have your tree picked up or taken away?

Want to clean up your Christmas tree after the holidays? Then put your Christmas tree on the curb during 1 of the collection days in January. Check the garbage calendar for the collection days in your street. Or bring your tree to the waste disposal station on Pluto Street or De Werf.
