The Royal Christmas Fair is one of the largest and nicest Christmas markets in the Netherlands. From 5 to 23 December 2024, the Royal Christmas Fair will bring you into the ultimate Christmas atmosphere with twinkling lights and well-known Christmas songs. This year even more festive, atmospheric and colorful than previous years!

Enjoy the atmosphere 

On the romantic Lange Voorhout in the center of The Hague you can visit the Christmas market every day from 12:00 to 21:00. The dozens of Christmas houses, thousands of LED lights, atmospheric fires, mulled wine and an almost daily visit from the one and only Santa Claus appeal to the imagination of many at this Christmas market. The special programming of the Royal Christmas Fair with Christmas choirs, storytellers, children's activities and musical performances also makes this Christmas market more than worth a visit!

In short: for the most beautiful Christmas market in the Netherlands you have to be in the historic city center of The Hague!

The Royal Christmas Fair is a unique experience for children. Every day you come across Christmas actors and (children's) choirs and you can visit cultural activities and performances. The atmospheric decoration, crackling fires and a lot of (LED) lights provide the ultimate Christmas atmosphere.

Lange Voorhout

The Lange Voorhout in The Hague is perhaps the most beautiful avenue in the Netherlands. Festivals, events and exhibitions regularly take place on the central path. The stately buildings house various cultural institutions, including Theater Diligentia, Pulchri Studio and Escher in the Palace.

Accessibility Royal Christmas Fair

Lange Voorhout is located in the center of The Hague. Easily accessible by bicycle, public transport (tram, bus), car and is within walking distance of The Hague Central Station. The entrances to the Christmas market are at the Kloosterkerk (corner of Parkstraat/Lange Voorhout), Hotel Des Indes (Denneweg) and at the Tournooiveld.

The Christmas market can be reached by HTM tram with lines 1 and 17 (Kneuterdijk stop), Line 9 (Malieveld stop) and bus lines 22 and 24.

For those coming by car from the direction of Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Utrecht, it is best to park in the Interparking Museumkwartier car park on Korte Voorhout. Cheaper parking and be sure of a parking space? Then book in advance at Interparking - Helicon car park. You can also park under Malieveld or in parking garage CS-New Babylon or Muzenplein. From here it is a five to ten minute walk to the Lange Voorhout.
