Residenz is a boutique hotel quietly located on the beautiful Sweelinckplein in the heart of Duinoord, one of the most popular districts in The Hague. With four luxury suites and two high-end apartments, Residenz is probably the smallest hotel in The Hague.

Residenz offers the best of what you can expect from a boutique hotel: Luxurious spacious rooms (35m2), lovely Auping beds, blackout curtains, stylish interior with two armchairs or a sofa and a table to work or eat at. They combine that with the charm of a B&B: personal service, insider tips, high touch hospitality and fresh homemade breakfast that is included in your room reservation.

'The best of both worlds'

Without being anonymous, Residenz respects your privacy. Their Deluxe Suites have a fireplace. Two rooms have a balcony/terrace. They serve breakfast as desired in your room, downstairs in the dining room and in the garden when the weather is nice.

Centrally located between city center and beach

Residenz is in a national monument, built in neo-Renaissance style in 1895. Sweelinckplein is the green heart of the chic Duinoord neighbourhood, with its curved streets, stately mansions and parks. Here you will find countless local shops, fine restaurants and trendy coffee shops. Residenz is centrally located between the city centre and the beach, both reachable in 10 minutes by bike or public transport. Do you prefer to go on foot? Then enjoy the walk to the center through the trendy Zeeheldenkwartier. Or walk via the chic Statenkwartier to the harbor of Scheveningen.

Residenz

A special place

The building has a rich history. It was built at the end of the 19th century as a hotel-guesthouse. Until the 50s, families from the Dutch East Indies and other visitors to The Hague stayed there. Often for several months to arrange formalities with the government. Before it was put back into use as a hotel in 2006, it was the residence of the Spanish consul. It is a privilege to welcome visitors to The Hague again. Whether you come for work or leisure, Residenz is happy to make you feel at home in this beautiful city.
