On Sunday 29 March, Crossing Border Kids is organising a creative street art workshop with artist and illustrator Ed Oner. During this children's workshop, participants will work together to create a large mural under the guidance of an experienced graffiti and mural artist.

Create a mural together

How do you turn a small idea into a large work of art? During this workshop, children discover how a professional mural is created. They learn to sketch, build a composition, choose colours and paint on a large scale. Together they work on a single image, just like a real mural in the city.

Street artist Ed Oner grew up in Casablanca and began his career as a graffiti artist. His work focuses on people, memories, and everyday life. His murals combine powerful portraits with typography and tell stories that immediately resonate. This approach forms the basis of the workshop.

In addition to the practical part, Ed Oner will talk about his work as an illustrator. He will also show how his visual language is reflected in the book Buscando a Ahmed, about a boy who goes in search of his older brother in a big city.

Practical information

The workshop will take place at BorderKitchen at Kerkstraat 13 and is suitable for children aged 8 to 12. The programme will be offered twice: from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets cost €10. Parents or guardians are admitted free of charge. One adult guardian is required per child.
