During the Pentecost weekend, from 23 to 25 May, the city centre will host the new event SummerFest. SummerFest is a fresh twist on ShoppingNight, the event that took place for years in the city centre of The Hague.

What to expect?

Summer, fashion, music and plenty of fun; you will definitely want to visit the city centre of The Hague during the Pentecost weekend! With SummerFest, you will experience four days of a unique mix of cheerful sounds, stylish shopping, great entertainment and a variety of delicious food and drinks. Enjoy live music, surprising performances and acts that will put you in summer moods - from cosy buskers to rousing DJs.

Programme overview

SummerFest brings a lively atmosphere and entertainment to The Hague city centre. Throughout the day, there will be activities for visitors of all ages on and around Grote Marktstraat, the Hofkwartier and other locations.

Saturday 23 May

The Summerfest programme runs from 13:00 to 17:00, andshops are open on Sundays and Mondays from 12:00 to 19:00. Opening hours are always guidelines; shops are free to decide for themselves how to implement them. It will mainly be the large chains in the main shopping area that are open at that time.
