Art and music have been linked for centuries. At the Bredius Museum in The Hague, this combination comes to life during a special series of pop-up mini-concerts.

The young top talents of the Davidsbündler Music Academy play in small ensembles, spread throughout the museum. Like modern troubadours, they move between the works of art and create a unique experience combining paintings and sounds.

Pop-up concerts among the Dutch Masters

A new musical moment begins every ten minutes. As you walk past works by Rembrandt, Jan Steen, Jacob van Ruisdael and other 17th-century Dutch Masters, live classical music fills the air.

There is no stage and no distance. Visitors stand in the middle of the room, between the paintings and the musicians. This creates a playful and intimate setting in which art and music reinforce each other.

Free cultural event for everyone

This unique combination of museum visit and live classical music in The Hague is free of charge. Families, culture lovers and curious explorers are welcome to drop in and be surprised. Museum Bredius offers an accessible and inspiring cultural experience in the heart of the city.
