Learn to observe and draw like a real artist at the Mauritshuis Drawing School in The Hague. During the summer holidays, children aged 7 to 12 can discover the world of art, paintings and drawing at the Mauritshuis.

Together, you’ll look at famous paintings by artists such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. How do you make an object look round, soft or shiny? And how do you actually draw your favourite animal?

Afterwards, you’ll get to work yourself with pencil and paper. You’ll learn to observe closely, try out new drawing techniques and create your own artwork. You don’t need to be a talented artist: everyone can take part.
