Textura A

West Den Haag presents Textura A, a group exhibition that unites eight contemporary artists around shared themes of materiality, technology and the human body. The participating artists work across a range of media, from video and installation to sound and sculpture, each posing their own questions about how we perceive and inhabit the world.

The artists of Textura A

Hoda Afshar creates powerful videos addressing migration, identity and political exclusion. Diane Cescutti explores the boundaries between architecture and the human body. Koenraad Dedobbeleer plays with the tension between everyday objects and their sculptural weight. Lynnée Denise combines music, writing and installation to investigate collective memory and Black culture. Florian Hecker and Marcin Pietruszewski collaborate on auditory works that push the limits of perception. Josh Kline situates his work in a near future where labour, healthcare and politics are deeply intertwined. Sondra Perry uses digital imagery and performance to raise questions about race, technology and the Black body. Johann Wilhelm Ritter, the eighteenth-century physicist, serves as a historical anchor point within the exhibition.
