The Hague Film Festival provides a platform for filmmakers from the Netherlands and abroad. From feature films and short films to documentaries, animations, music videos and experimental productions: a variety of genres and stories come together during the film festival in The Hague.
The festival culminates in the Hague Film Awards, where the best productions and filmmakers take centre stage. Visitors can look forward to a special evening full of film, creativity and new stories in the heart of The Hague.
The theme for 2026 is Masked Ball. Because behind every mask lies a story, and behind every story there may be a new filmmaker waiting to be discovered. The dress code for the evening is therefore festive: Red Carpet, Gala & A Touch of the Masked Ball.
Submitting a film
Filmmakers can submit their work until 16 October at 11.59 pm. The finalists will be announced on 7 November.
