Cool Event Scheveningen

This winter, the seaside resort of Scheveningen in The Hague is once again the place to be for the ultimate winter sports experience by the sea. For the 15th time, Cool Event Scheveningen will be organised with an indoor ice rink of no less than 600m2 on the Kurhausplein.  

Skating rink

On the 600 m2 indoor ice rink in front of the Kurhaus in Scheveningen, young and old can skate between 11 November and 11 February 2024. Admission price for Kurhaus on Ice skating rink €7.50, tickets including skate rental €12.50. 

Please note that no skates are allowed on the skating rink for safety reasons. Gloves are compulsory.

(Ice) spectacle at the Cool Event 

On 13 and 14 January, enjoy an enchanting solo skating show and skaters with illuminated wings. Two shows back to back, at 17:30 and 19:00. During these evenings, spectacular metre-sized kites can also be admired from the promenade.

Scheveningen

Scheveningen is the Netherlands' most famous seaside resort for a reason. With attractions such as De Pier, SEA LIFE, the Palace Promenade, Museum Beelden aan Zee, Holland Casino, Pathé and the Circustheater, there is plenty to do for young and old throughout the four seasons. After a lovely walk on the beach, you can shop and eat well at the Palace Promenade shopping centre seven days a week. The nearby SEA LIFE is a hit for a day out with the kids. And the Pathé cinema, Holland Casino and Circustheater guarantee a fun night out in Scheveningen. And the historic city centre of The Hague is only 15 minutes away from Scheveningen beach!

Accessibility

Scheveningen is quickly and easily accessible from the centre of The Hague by public transport, car and bicycle. In all cases, it takes about 15 minutes.

Those travelling by public transport can take tram lines 1 and 9 and bus lines 21, 22 and 23. From The Hague Central Station, you can use tram 9 towards Scheveningen. From The Hague Hollands Spoor station, HTM trams 1 and 9 will take you to the beach. Get off at the Kurhaus stop.

By car, follow the signs for Scheveningen Bad from the motorway. There are several car parks in the immediate vicinity of the promenade: Parking Nieuwe Parklaan, Parking Kurhaus and Parking Scheveningen Strand. These are open seven days a week 24 hours a day and are all within ten minutes' drive.
