Soul Thing
Soul Thing is a club event centred around soul, riddim and bass, taking place at Grey Space in the Middle in The Hague. The night is the brainchild of Ozan, also known as Osoulsconcept, a Hague-based DJ and curator who has been active in Dutch club culture for nearly two decades.
The evening kicks off at street level, in a living room-inspired space. Friends pulling up, conversations flowing, drinks going around, and vinyl records carrying sounds from across the globe. No pressure, no rush, just a place to sit, talk or move however you like. Soulful jams set the tone, warm sounds slowly finding the groove.
From living room to basement at Grey Space in the Middle
As the night settles in, the setting shifts to the basement. The tempo picks up and the music moves in a different direction: alternative R&B and hip-hop alternate with afro riddims, bass and everything in between. The selectors behind Soul Thing deliver a varied programme that crosses genres and scenes. A ticket is required for basement access from 22:00 onwards.
Soul Thing: music, people and culture
Soul Thing is the creation of Osoulsconcept, Hague-based DIY creator, DJ and curator Ozan. For nearly twenty years he has moved through the Dutch club scene, always guided by feeling and one common thread: creating spaces where people, music and culture come together. Soul Thing is a direct expression of that. No format, no script, just a night that unfolds on its own terms.
