Afghanistan, 2021. Naru is the only camerawoman at Kabul's most important television station. After leaving her unfaithful husband, she is fighting for custody of her three-year-old son. She holds one firm belief: there are no good men in her country. That certainty begins to crack when Qodrat, Kabul TV's lead journalist, offers her a career opportunity. Together they travel across the city to report on the last days of freedom. As tensions in Kabul rise, something unexpected sparks between them.

No Good Men is the most personal film yet from Afghan-German director Shahrbanoo Sadat. She wrote the screenplay, directed the film and plays the lead role herself. Her aim: to show a different, more authentic image of Afghanistan, with humour and romance. The film opened the Berlin Film Festival and has been drawing international attention ever since. It is now showing on the big screen at Theater and Filmhuis Dakota.
