Source Code: Language in the Age of AI
How is artificial intelligence (AI) changing the way we read, write and create? Find out on Thursday 29 October at the Broncode Festival at the Royal Library (KB) in The Hague. A unique festival featuring interactive workshops, art, music, performances and inspiring discussions about the future of language and creativity.
The World of AI
Artificial intelligence is playing an increasingly significant role in everyday life. But what does AI mean for books, art and human creativity? And how will we be able to tell the difference between work created by humans and that created by machines?
The Broncode Festival marks the festive opening of the exhibition ‘Broncode: Books in the AI Era’. Through a varied programme of afternoon and evening events, you’ll discover how technology and creativity come together. Whether you’re already well-versed in AI or are encountering it for the first time, everyone is welcome to explore, contribute ideas and experiment for themselves.
Workshops, art and music
Festival Broncode is all about discovering and experiencing things for yourself. Get to grips with the Royal Library’s unique collection and discover how AI offers new possibilities for art, language and imagery.
Take part in creative workshops, build your own language model using historical Dutch newspapers, or watch special screenings and VJ performances featuring images from the Royal Library’s collection. Listen to artists and designers experimenting with AI and round off the evening with music and dance.
For the festival, the Royal Library is collaborating with AIxDESIGN, an international community of artists, designers and researchers exploring the possibilities of artificial intelligence.
