Paint and Sip: Portrait Painting
7 Nov - 12 Dec
The Paint and Sip: Portrait Painting workshop takes place at the Mauritshuis in The Hague. A museum educator guides you through the Thyssen-Bornemisza X Mauritshuis exhibition, followed by a painting session where you create your own portrait. Materials and drinks are included. The workshop is open to participants aged 18 and over.
Love as artistic inspiration: how it works
The Thyssen-Bornemisza X Mauritshuis exhibition explores love as a timeless theme in painting. Together with a museum educator, you walk through the galleries and see how artists across the centuries gave shape to that theme. That context carries straight into the workshop that follows.

After the tour, it's your turn. Choose your subject: a portrait of your museum date, a self-portrait or a painting based on a photo on your phone. With guidance you work through the painting step by step. All materials are provided, and drinks are taken care of throughout. A valid museum ticket is required in addition to workshop registration.
