Three bands performing on stage during a Paardcafé evening at PAARD in The Hague

On Friday 13 November 2026, three bands take the stage during a Paardcafé evening at PAARD. Sea Foam Grey, Talks Make Do and The Dark Wave deliver a free night of indie, new wave and post-punk. Doors open at 20:00, the programme starts at 20:30.

Sea Foam Grey, from The Hague, opens the evening with a sound that moves between the angular tension of Talking Heads and the dark intensity of Interpol. Sharp riffs, driving drums and a tight sense of groove come together in music that is raw, compelling and melodic all at once.

Talks Make Do at PAARD in The Hague

Talks Make Do confronts the angry man, the freeloader, the easily offended. The fierce alternative and new wave of this four-piece acknowledges the pain but dissects the self-pity. What started as groovy indie has evolved into uncompromising guitar music full of social criticism and self-reflection.

The Dark Wave closes the night at PAARD

Amsterdam six-piece The Dark Wave grew out of a shared passion for classic vinyl records. The band combines gothic nostalgia from the 1980s with modern Britpop bravado, and delivers lyrics that tackle raw, contemporary themes. An intense sound to round off the evening.

Entry to this Paardcafé night is free.
