Discover The Hague through your taste buds! On this plant-based street food tour, you’ll stroll past local hotspots, hidden gems and stories you won’t easily find in a travel guide!

Taste The Hague? Here's how!

Beneath the glittering surface of The Hague lies a vibrant world of trendsetters, family-run businesses and hidden gems known only to true locals. V for Food takes you on a tour of these places! The guides are locals themselves, passionate about food and know every alleyway, every establishment and every story. They know where to find the tastiest falafel in the Netherlands. They know the lady who lovingly prepares her Indonesian dishes every day. And they know exactly which terrace is the best spot to sit when the sun is shining.

Street food from the royal city

On this tour, you’ll be on the hunt for the very best The Hague has to offer. Think pizza with homemade ‘melting cheese’, royal ice cream in surprising flavours, and a ‘happy meal’ so special you’ll be talking about it for days. You’ll stop at seven hotspots, sample the food, and get to know the people behind it. Because that’s what makes this tour different: it’s not just about what’s on your plate, but who made it and why. Everything is plant-based, by the way.

From the bustling city centre to hidden gems

After a brief introduction in the heart of the city, you’ll leave the beaten track. You’ll walk into the Palace Gardens via a secret route. You’ll then continue on to the up-and-coming Zeeheldenkwartier, past street art that makes you look twice, past building projects with a story to tell, and past jokes hidden in the city’s architecture. You’ll hear why the stork pops up everywhere, what ‘hot air’ has to do with a famous dessert, and which secrets the locals would rather not share with tourists. But on this tour, you’ll find out everything!

The walk is approximately 6.5 kilometres long and takes 4 hours. There are plenty of stops along the way to treat your taste buds and give your feet a rest on the city’s cosiest terrace.
