The Amsterdam Chamber Academy presents a concert featuring a varied programme for string orchestra. Under the baton of conductor Ben le Heux, the ensemble will perform works ranging from subdued and lyrical to powerful and dramatic.
The evening opens with Adagio by Elisabetta Brusa. This is followed by Miroir de Peine by Hendrik Andriessen, featuring soprano Elles Venhuizen as soloist. The concert concludes with Mahler’s arrangement for string orchestra of Schubert’s famous string quartet Der Tod und das Mädchen.
The Amsterdam Chamber Academy comprises enthusiastic musicians from the Randstad who share a passion for both classical and modern repertoire for string orchestra.
