Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour

In March, the BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour will be in The Hague with a selection of the best outdoor films from the festival of the same name in Canada.
The BANFF Mountain Film Festival World Tour will visit six Dutch cities in March, including The Hague. During this film evening, seven short documentaries will be screened, telling stories about nature, adventure and extraordinary expeditions. The films have been selected from the annual Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival, which takes place in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
In ‘Emil & Karl’, two young parents and their children embark on a 180-kilometre bike packing trip through the Swiss Alps. The film shows not only the physical challenge, but also the emotional ups and downs along the way. In ‘A Baffin Vacation – love on ice’, two adventurers try to combine as many outdoor sports as possible during a gruelling expedition on Baffin Island, a remote and rugged island in northern Canada. Their relationship is put to the test, as is their physical endurance.
The film Reel Rock follows four climbers who attempt to climb all 41 pitches of Riders of the Storm in Patagonia in one go. While they take the notorious weather into account, it is the dynamics within the team that are particularly surprising.
