On Wednesday 28 October, Musicon in The Hague is the setting for an evening of blues and blues rock with Brian Templeton. This singer, songwriter and harmonica player from Boston has an impressive track record and brings his rich repertoire live to the stage.

Brian Templeton started his career in the nineties as frontman of The Radio Kings, releasing records on Icehouse Records and Rounder's Bullseye Blues label. A solo career followed with albums such as Home and Bloozin, recorded alongside prominent names from the Boston blues scene. He toured extensively with harmonica legend Jerry Portnoy and shared stages with artists including Otis Grand, Sonny Rhodes and James Cotton.

Brian Templeton and The Proven Ones in The Hague

In later years, Templeton led bands such as The Delta Generators and The Knickerbocker All Stars, but his most recognised project is blues supergroup The Proven Ones. Their album Wild Again was nominated for a Blues Foundation Music Award; its follow-up reached number one on the Billboard Blues chart. Seeing Templeton live means witnessing the result of more than three decades of blues experience on stage.

Doors at Musicon open at 20:00, the concert begins at 20:30 and is expected to finish at 23:00. Tickets are available through the online ticket shop, which closes one hour before the show. Door tickets are available while supplies last.
