Fresh green blossoms and branches against a blue sky

From 24 October to 29 November, nature takes centre stage in the exhibition Dancing Trees at Galerie De twee Pauwen in The Hague. Artists Peter Keizer, Elke Meulendijks and Karel Zijlstra present new paintings and bronze sculptures in which trees, movement and freedom come together.

Nature and Movement in Art

During the ‘Dancing Trees’ exhibition, painters Peter Keizer and Elke Meulendijks each demonstrate, in their own way, just how vibrant nature can be. With swirling colours, striking plays of light, shadows and reflections on leaves, they bring trees to life. Their paintings radiate energy, joy and freedom.

The bronze sculptures by sculptor Karel Zijlstra provide a unique complement to the paintings. Through organic forms and earthy colours, he illustrates the connection between humankind and nature. His sculptures almost seem to move in harmony with the world around them.

A colourful exhibition brimming with nature

‘Dancing Trees’ invites visitors to look at trees and nature in a different way. The combination of painting and sculpture creates a varied artistic experience centred on colour, movement and natural forms.
