Dune March

The 71st Dunes March will take place on April 1 and 2, 2023. It is then possible to walk on one or both days.5, 10, 15, 25 or 40 km walks through the dunes. The Dunenmars is an initiative that started in the fifties to raise money for disabled scouts and for scouts' activities in South Holland. Since the end of the seventies, other charities have also been eligible to receive funding for organised youth work from the money raised.
Medals
All participants who complete a walk for the first time or who are back for an anniversary walk (for example, for the 5th or 10th time) will receive a medal. All other participants receive a number corresponding to the number of times they have taken part in the event. Groups with a minimum of a 12 people are eligible for a group's prize.
Route booklets
Booklets with the various walking routes will be on sale and can be used to collect stamps for the various distances.
Practical info
All of the various walks begin and end at the car park on the Machiel Vrijenhoeklaan in The Hague's beach resort Kijkduin. This starting point can easily be reached by public transportation with bus 23, 24 and 26.
Distances & starting times
- 5 km from 09:00 to 15:00
- 10 and 15 km from 09:00 to 14:00
- 25 km from 08:30 to 11:00
- 40km from 8am to 10am
The starting office closes at 5:00 PM. The 5 and 10 kilometer routes are also suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
