Eduard Preda Jazz Trio
On Thursday 22 October, the Eduard Preda Jazz Trio will give a special concert in the main hall of Sociëteit De Vereeniging in The Hague. The jazz concert forms part of the club’s anniversary year, as it celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2026.
Jazz and classical music come together
The focus of the evening will be on the 25-year-old pianist, composer and improviser Eduard Preda. He is regarded as a promising Dutch musical talent and was recently nominated for the Grachtenfestival Prize 2026.
Accompanied by double bass and drums, Preda puts his own spin on well-known jazz standards from the Great American Songbook. Free improvisations are combined with the expressiveness of classical music. This lends new nuances to familiar compositions, interspersed with classical interludes and surprising musical references.
