Route 079
Route 079 is a cultural walk-in programme at Stadstheater Zoetermeer, an initiative of CKC, Bibliotheek Forum Zoetermeer, Kunstgarage Franx, Nationaal Videogame Museum, Poppodium Boerderij and Stadstheater Zoetermeer. No reservation required: just walk in and let local talent surprise you.
Route 079 brings an evening of performances by choirs and other local acts, with no barriers and no ticket reservation required. The programme is built around local talent from Zoetermeer and the surrounding area.
Jongerenkoor Praise
First up is Jongerenkoor Praise, performing from 19:30 to 20:00. This choir is part of R.K. Jongerenvereniging WESP and consists of young people aged 15 to 35. Normally, Praise performs at church services, but for Route 079 they bring their own programme: a mix of self-written songs, mass elements and choir favourites. Between 15 and 35 and feeling inspired after the performance? The choir rehearses every Friday evening from 20:30 to 22:30 at De Kapelaan, Nicolaasplein 2 in Zoetermeer.
Che Passione at Stadstheater Zoetermeer
From 20:15 to 20:45, Che Passione takes the stage. Zoetermeer's classical choir has around 28 members and performs under the direction of Venezuelan conductor Miguel Santaella, who brings rhythm and energy to the ensemble. Classical music is anything but dull here: the choir is working towards a 2027 concert with an almost entirely South American and folk-inspired programme.
