How do psychedelic truffles affect your experience of music? Find out at Sofia’s Trip. From the comfort of a beanbag, under professional supervision, you’ll experience a low dose of psychedelic truffles, whilst the Lonelinoise orchestra takes you on a trance-like live experience. Intense and gentler sounds accompany you, occasionally guiding your trip, whilst your sense of time slowly fades. And all this whilst you’re contributing to a unique scientific study by Leiden University.
Transcendent music from Russia & Iran
Thomas Dulfer, bassoonist and artistic director of Lonelinoise, conceived Sofia’s Trip. During this journey, he is our musical guide and, together with his 10-piece orchestra, opens windows onto subconscious worlds. Be enveloped by the intense music of composer Sofia Gubaidulina, steeped in human suffering, somewhere between heaven and earth. But let yourself be carried away too by the soothing, repetitive music of Soheil Shayesteh. He improvises live on his kamancheh (pointed fiddle) and combines Iranian melodies with live electronics.
