The Living Poets takes place at Huis van het Boek in The Hague. Three intimate sessions bring readers, writers and spoken word artists together around a collection by a prominent poet.

The Living Poets is all about experiencing language. Participants read a poetry collection in advance, then gather to explore it together. Poems are read aloud, discussed and taken apart for imagery, meaning and relationships. Afterwards, everyone writes their own response to what they have read. That combination of reading, speaking and writing makes each session personal and connecting.

Open Mic edition during Museumnacht in The Hague

On Saturday 10 October, a special edition takes place: the Museumnacht Open Mic of The Living Poets, this time at Rijksmuseum Meermanno. Have a poem, a spoken word piece, something musical or something entirely unexpected? This is the place to share it. Experience is not required, enthusiasm is. Stage spots are limited, so signing up early is key.
