Writers Unlimited International Literature Festival
During the 30th festival edition - from Thursday, January 23 to Sunday, January 26, 2025 - be inspired and carried away by some ninety writers, poets, performers, thinkers and young talents from around the world for four atmospheric winter days.
The power of literature
The festival, one of the most important and beautiful international literary events in the Netherlands, takes place throughout The Hague in theaters and district libraries, at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and The Hague secondary schools.
The festival includes the two large, varied festival nights Friday and Saturday Night Unlimited on various stages in The Hague. The festival concludes on Sunday at the Amare with “Playing with Fire,” a one-off and energetic show full of spoken word, music and dance in which words, rhythm, melody and movement meet.
Friday and Saturdaynight Unlimted
Friday Night Unlimited and Saturday Night Unlimited are grand, super diverse festival nights about and featuring books, films, stories, poems and current issues on five stages. Writers, poets and artists from home and abroad perform in conversations, recite and talk about their favorite books and films.

You choose your own route through about twenty talks, interviews, readings and performances that vary from night to night. Each performance lasts about twenty to sixty minutes. Dutch or English spoken.
