What is Universal Sufism?
Universal Sufism is a world view that assumes that all religions originate from one and the same source and that all religions are ultimately directed to the same God. Founder Hazrat Inayat Khan grew up in India, surrounded by different religions. According to him, God has many names and every person experiences God in his own way. In doing so, it is important not to seek God outside of yourself, but within yourself. Sufis regard all mankind as one body; the races are the different parts of that body, the countries are the organs, the people are the particles, and God is the spirit of this body.
