Name
Jamey Bennett worked undercover for the British government. He is sophisticated and cheeky, an irresistible combination. He knows the world by heart and has a preference for luxury, but also a need for warmth and affection. A living room, but one with a waiter. The diplomat son wants to get comfy at the Chesterfield couch or take place at a table for a good glass of wine and a steak. He feels at best at the bar with a gin and tonic in his hand. And of course, a beautiful lady on his side. Never a dull moment with Jamey...

History
The fact that Jamey Bennett feels at home at the The Hague Plaats, number 11, is not strange. Once, the Gnome Bar (Kabouterbar) was located in this building, a shady pub with an innocent name where spies used to meet. The many dark spots and several entrances made it the ideal location to get in and out without getting caught. In 1994, café restaurant Juliana’s settled in the building. One of the first grand cafes of the city. After that spies did not show up here anymore, but ever since April 2016 Jamey Bennettt has returned to the Plaats.

Location
Jamey Bennett is located at Plaats, one of oldest squares in town. The triangular space, for long a kind of antechambre to the Buitenhof, is now bound by handsome century-old buildings in a variety of styles ranging from neo-Gothic to Art Nouveau. A bronze statue of 1918 commemorates the murdered Johan de Witt.

Getting there
Restaurant Jamey Bennett is located at the Plaats in the city centre of The Hague, which is easily accessible by car and public transport. Car park Noordeinde and Torengarage are within walking distance of the Plaats. Those who prefer to take public transport can take a tram from The Hague Central Station. A number of trams stop at the Kneuterdijk stop. You will find yourself at Plaats in less than two minutes.
