Academy of Vocal Arts - The Sound of Christmas
Get into the Christmas spirit at The Sound of Christmas, presented by the Academy of Vocal Arts. Young singers aged 6 to 16 will perform an atmospheric Christmas concert featuring traditional Christmas carols, classical music and surprising international sounds.
A charming Christmas concert featuring young singers
‘The Sound of Christmas’ has been a much-loved Christmas concert with audiences in The Hague for many years. This year’s programme features a varied selection of traditional English Christmas carols, a Croatian Christmas song and music by well-known and lesser-known composers, including John Rutter and Darcieux.
On stage, the young singers of the Academy of Vocal Arts share their love of singing together. Enjoy beautiful polyphonic singing, children in atmospheric Dickensian costumes and, of course, plenty of Christmas spirit.
Under the direction of Daniëlle van Lieshout, the Academy of Vocal Arts brings young and old together for a musical build-up to the festive season.
