The festival takes place at multiple locations across the city and brings together the richness and diversity of Africa and the African diaspora in one cohesive program.

AMARE x The Hague African Festival – 4 July
The festival month opens with a collaboration with AMARE. On Saturday 4 July, a concert takes center stage, combined with a daytime program including an African market, talks and Africa Living Room Sessions.

African Expo
In collaboration with Stichting Topaze, young people from The Hague work on art projects based on the annual theme. The artworks are displayed in the city centre.

Elevate Talent
This talent development programme, in collaboration with the African Food Festival Rotterdam, offers emerging talent a platform to present themselves and grow within the cultural sector.

African Film
Together with Stichting Yangambi and the iAfrica Festival, films are shown that highlight stories from Africa and the diaspora, with space for conversation and reflection.

AfroBeats in the Park – Zuiderparktheater – 26 July
The festival month closes at the Zuiderparktheater with live music, dance, a children’s programme and activities for all ages.

The festival showcases African culture in many forms. Visitors experience a mix of music, art, film and connection across different locations in The Hague.
