After a four-year break, The Hague African Festival returns on 28 July 2024 at Zuiderparktheater. This unique festival, known as 'The Hague African Festival' since 2012, has been handed over to the new migrant organisation "Stichting Nteasee" (understanding and cooperation).

Modern African music

This year promises to be a wonderful fusion of traditional and modern African music. The programme offers a line-up that gives African talent from all over the world a stage In the past, big names such as Sauti Sol, Youssou N'Dour, Angélique Kidjo, Werrason and many others have taken the stage.

Back at the Zuiderpark Theatre
After a four-year hiatus, the festival will once again be organised at the Zuiderpark Theatre. The last time the festival was held here in 2019 included a spectacular show by Sauti Sol, who mesmerised the audience with their Afropop from Kenya.

New leadership, same passion
Although the previous organisation, Sankofa Foundation, has disbanded, the festival continues with renewed energy under the leadership of Nteasee Foundation, with Augustina "MS.ABA" Austin at the helm. The foundation's goal is to build bridges between Africans and Dutch.

Free entry
Tickets for the festival are free, and the program lasts from 2pm to 10.30pm. The line-up will be announced via the festival's website
