During the three-day festival Sound or Not, ensemble Modelo62 explores where music ends and sound begins. The inspiration comes from the text score Boundary Music (1963) by Japanese composer Mieko Shiomi. The programme consists of experimental music theatre, avant-garde classics and new interdisciplinary work.

On Friday 12 December, the performances will start with solo work by Reinier van Houdt and the world premiere of Grottesche by Milana Zarić, Richard Barrett and Modelo62. Later in the evening, Nahuel Cano and Modelo62 will perform Ways to Listen to a River.

Saturday 13 December will feature works by James Tenney, Phil Niblock, Leslee Smucker and Germaine Sijstermans, among others. Puck Wacki's Ticking Shadows will also be presented continuously.

On Sunday 14 December, the festival closes with Sound Explorers, a performance for children and families in which young and old discover the world of sound in a playful way.
