On Friday 5 and Saturday 6 December, the winter beer festival will be held for the 8th time on the terrace and at Cafe-Restaurant Rootz on Grote Marktstraat in The Hague.
75 different (winter) beers
In the run-up to Christmas, and during Christmas shopping, Rootz, as The Hague's beer specialist, will host an open-air winter beer festival. The Haagse Biertuin, as it is popularly known, will host this annual event. With 75 different (winter) beers by ± 12 different breweries, there will be a huge range of winter beers to taste in small tasting glasses! Matching winter BBQ, fire baskets, Christmas trees and live music will once again give the winter beer festival the allure it deserves!

Friday: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday: 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Festival info
- Free entry, but secure a spot with reservation!
- Tasting glass costs €6 and you can keep it and take it home after your visit. Do you still have a Rootz tasting glass from previous editions? No problem if you want to bring it to the festival.
- Tokens cost € 3.50 each and with these you can order your favourite beers from the brewers.
- Tokens valid all weekend
