Ecstatic Dance is a dance event at Het Zeeheldentheater in The Hague where you move completely freely to music. There are no set choreographies or dance rules: your body leads the way. The evening starts at 18:15 and is open to anyone who wants to let go and get moving.
Ecstatic Dance is all about spontaneous movement. No instructions, no alcohol, no talking on the dance floor. Just you, the music and the space to move however you like. The DJ builds the evening with a flowing set that shifts from calm to energetic, carrying you along naturally. Some visitors dance wildly, others move in a slow, meditative way. Everything goes.

What can you expect?
The doors open before the set begins. The music takes you through different moods, from dreamy ambient sounds to pulsing beats. There are moments to catch your breath in between. Drinking on the dance floor is not allowed and talking during the dance is kept to a minimum, so everyone can stay fully in the flow. After the session, there is time to unwind and connect.
