Kri – Family Concert
During the Delft Chamber Music Festival, Theater De Veste presents the family concert Kri: a musical-theatrical performance for children aged 5 to 10. Yanna Pelser and Alexander Brouwer combine viola, vocals and puppetry into an accessible encounter with chamber music, with storytelling and interaction at its core.
Two businesspeople find a cocoon one day. What emerges is mysterious, unlike anything they know. Kri places this encounter at its heart: what do you do when you come face to face with someone completely different from yourself? Yanna Pelser plays viola and sings, while Alexander Brouwer brings puppets to life. Together they build a world on stage in which loneliness, alienation and acceptance are not presented as abstract concepts, but made tangible through music, movement and imagination. Children are not passive spectators but active participants: they listen, respond and discover.
