Vera Whistler – Unica

Vera Whistler built a career in dance and movement analysis before making the move to visual art. In Unica, she searches for ways to make her drive for movement and her individuality visible through physical materials. She draws inspiration from artists who give matter a central role and find strength in simplicity.

Whistler typically works in series, with the process itself shaping the direction of the work. Themes sometimes arise deliberately, but can also grow from the work she is engaged in. Her starting point: giving visitors space for their own interpretation and offering a viewing experience that is genuinely unique.

Unica in the Tuingalerie at Pulchri Studio The Hague

The exhibition is on show in the Tuingalerie of Pulchri Studio, one of The Hague's oldest and most renowned artists' associations. The opening on Saturday 3 October 2026 is performed by visual artist Ingrid Rollema. Unica runs until 1 November 2026 and is free to visit.
