Paardcafé: Namesbliss
On 8 November 2026, British artist Namesbliss brings his signature blend of neo-grime and jazz-rap to Paardcafé in The Hague. Nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2026 MOBO Awards, Namesbliss will perform a free show.
Namesbliss grew up in Kilburn, London, and his music carries that background with it. Jazz rang through the house via his older brother; after Sunday service, he'd spend afternoons absorbing Miles Davis. Later came the great American storytellers – Nas, Chance the Rapper, Noname, Mick Jenkins – and British pioneers Kano and George the Poet. Each left traces in the way he approaches lyrics and rhythm.
Namesbliss in The Hague: neo-grime meets jazz
His sound can be described as 'neo-grime' and 'jazz-rap', but those labels only tell part of the story. What sets Namesbliss apart is the way he brings two contrasting impulses together: the rawness and directness of grime, and the measured structure of jazz. Both elements coexist without either having to give ground. The result is music with sharpness and depth.
MOBO-nominated artist at Paardcafé
The MOBO Award nomination for Best Newcomer in 2026 confirms what his audience already knew: Namesbliss is building something genuinely his own in the British alt-rap scene. At Paardcafé, you can see him up close on an evening where doors open at 20:00 and the show starts at 20:30. Entry is free.
