From 9 November to 9 February is the Cool Event at Scheveningen. In front of the Kurhausplein with a super-sized skating rink.

This winter, the seaside resort of Scheveningen in The Hague is once again the place to be for the ultimate winter sports experience by the sea. For the 15th time, Cool Event Scheveningen will be organised with an indoor ice rink of no less than 600m2 on the Kurhausplein.  

Skating rink

On the 600 m2 indoor ice rink in front of the Kurhaus in Scheveningen, young and old can skate between 9 November and 9 February 2025. Admission price for Kurhaus on Ice skating rink €7.50, tickets including skate rental €12.50. 

Please note that no skates are allowed on the skating rink for safety reasons. Gloves are compulsory.

Scheveningen is the Netherlands' most famous seaside resort for a reason. Accessibility

Scheveningen is quickly and easily accessible from the centre of The Hague by public transport, car and bicycle. In all cases, it takes about 15 minutes.

Those travelling by public transport can take tram lines 1 and 9 and bus lines 21, 22 and 23. From The Hague Central Station, you can use tram 9 towards Scheveningen. From The Hague Hollands Spoor station, HTM trams 1 and 9 will take you to the beach. Get off at the Kurhaus stop.

By car, follow the signs for Scheveningen Bad from the motorway. There are several car parks in the immediate vicinity of the promenade: Parking Nieuwe Parklaan, Parking Kurhaus and Parking Scheveningen Strand. These are open seven days a week 24 hours a day and are all within ten minutes' drive.
