Strandweg public transport stop – terminus of tram 11
Tram 11 is a convenient link between The Hague Hollands Spoor station and Scheveningen. The tram takes you from the city to Scheveningen in 20 minutes, with the beach, the promenade, the harbour and Scheveningen’s old town all within walking distance.
Walk to Scheveningen Harbour and Scheveningen Village
From the terminus of tram 11, you can easily explore different parts of Scheveningen. Scheveningen Harbour is just a short walk away. Stroll along the quays, admire the fishing boats and settle down at one of the restaurants for fresh fish, lunch or a drink by the water.
Scheveningen Village is also easily accessible on foot. Walk towards Keizerstraat, the lively heart of old Scheveningen. Here you’ll find a mix of local shops, specialist boutiques, cafés and restaurants. From Keizerstraat, it’s a 20-minute walk to the North Boulevard, home to De Pier, the Grand Amrath Kurhaus and attractions such as the Legoland Discovery Centre and Sea Life Scheveningen.
Beach bars
Along this stretch of the Scheveningen coast, you’ll find various beach bars where you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, dinner or a drink with a sea view. Close to the harbour, you’ll find a number of (permanent) beach bars such as De Waterreus, hito, Aloha Beachclub and Hart Beach, which are open all year round.
