The famous Pier in Scheveningen is an icon on the Dutch coast. Visitors can fully enjoy a comprehensive range of food, drinks and various shopping concepts are on offer at the beach resort of Scheveningen's attraction, combined with the sun, sea and beach. Ferris wheel on the Pier
One of the Pier's latest tourist attractions is a Ferris wheel constructed over the sea. The Ferris wheel is over forty metres high and has 36 closed gondolas with air conditioning, including one luxury VIP gondola with a glass bottom. All gondolas have comfortable seats and each gondola offers room for up to six people. During the construction the most extreme weather conditions have been taken into account. From the Ferris wheel visitors have a panoramic view of the sea, the beach and The Hague's skyline. Prices are

On average, a ride on the Ferris wheel lasts around 20 minutes. Lunch, dinner or high tea at a high altitude over the sea are also possible. A unique attraction not to be missed if you are in The Hague!
Zip line at the Pier
Visitors can zip line down the 55 metre high Bungy Tower on the Pier reaching a speed of 60-80 kilometres per hour. The total distance is 350 metres. The Zipline is suited for daredevils of all ages, but you have to weigh at least 30 kg. Zipping can be carried out alone, but it is also possible to go on it with two people at the same time. In Spring, the Zipline is opened during the weekends and holidays from 11.00-20.00 hours. From April until September the Zipline is opened seven days a week.
Bungy Jump Holland
Bungy Jump Holland was founded in 1991 and is therefore one of the oldest Bungy Jumping companies in the world and a pioneer in The Netherlands. Apart from going to many mobile events, festivals and fairs there has been a Bungy Site in the centre of Amsterdam from 1996 – 2005. In August 2001 the second Bungy Site on the Pier in Scheveningen was opened, allowing people to jump from a crane that was placed on top of the tower. After that, it has been renowned as the Bungy Tower by many people. You can jump from approximately 60 metres above sea level and about 300 metres away from the shore. Throughout the year the Pier offers festivals, cultural events, markets, kids' afternoons, educational activities and musical performances. Moreover, several events take place around The Pier, like the Firework Festival and the Scheveningen Kite Festival. First Dutch hotel suites over sea
You can also spend the night at the Pier. There are five new hotel suites at the end of Holland's most famous attraction on the Dutch coast offer a stunning view of the North Sea. The Pier in Scheveningen extending 400 metres into the sea with its islands was built around 1900 as a wooden promenade above the sea. It burned down in 1943, but in 1961 the Pier was rebuilt out of cement and officially reopened. Nowadays the Pier offers shops, restaurants a picnic area and sun decks, to name such a few.
Scheveningen is the most visited beach resort in The Netherlands. Scheveningen is easy to reach by public transport and is also easy to reach by car and bike. The Pier can be reached quickly by public transport. A range of buses and trams run to Scheveningen from both train stations in The Hague just within 15 minutes. The Pier is a few minutes' walk from the Kurhausplein stop. Travelling by car from the A44 and A12, follow the signs for Scheveningen Bad. You will find various parking garages located in the vicinity of the Pier, including Zwolsestraat. The entrance to the Pier is on the boulevard as well as on the beach.
