Yuzu is a modern interpretation of a Japanese Izakaya. Izakaya (居酒屋) is a type of Japanese restaurant where guests order several small dishes that can be shared at the table.
The restaurant
Yuzu Dining is located on the Bierkade, just outside the busy city centre and close to Chinatown. The restaurant is darkly designed with subtle Japanese accents. Think clean lines, natural materials and atmospheric lighting. There is a large open kitchen with a Japanese Robatayaki grill. The toilet is also a must-see, as it is decorated in such a way that it looks like you are standing in a Tokyo underground station!
The menu
Yuzu's menu consists of a refined selection of modern Japanese dishes prepared according to traditional methods of the Japanese cuisine. Each creation is carefully crafted with the finest ingredients and a perfect balance of flavours. The menu includes handmade chicken gyoza and unique meat/fish/vegan dishes from the Robatayaki grill. Besides the delicious food, you can also enjoy an excellent selection of cocktails, carefully chosen wines and authentic sake.
Omakase
For the ultimate culinary experience, Yuzu offers the Omakase. 'Omakase' tradition is an adventure where you don't have to make any decisions. All culinary decisions are left to the chef. You will be surprised with a selection of dishes created to perfection.
Yuzu
Yuzu is a unique citrus fruit from Japan, loved for its aromatic and fresh taste, reminiscent of a cross between lemon, tangerine and grapefruit. The citrus fruit can be found on the façade in the logo and of course on the menu, be sure to try the Yuzu Sake!

The restaurant is easily accessible from the city centre. Within a 10-minute walk from the Spui, you are on the beautiful Bierkade. Coming by public transport? Tram stop Bierkade is the closest!
