Celebrating the Icons of Art
12 Sep - 24 Jan 2027
Exhibition
For its tenth anniversary, Voorlinden is presenting a truly exceptional and festive exhibition: Celebrating the Icons of Art. In it, contemporary icons from the museum's collection meet their 20th-century predecessors; works that have shaped our collective visual memory and continue to challenge us to look differently. Over the past ten years, artworks from Voorlinden's own collection have also proven to possess that same iconic power; they are deeply cherished by many and have played an undeniable role in the museum's identity.
This special anniversary exhibition forms an inspiring dialogue between big names such as Roni Horn, Fernand Léger, Andy Warhol, Lara Favaretto, Daniel Buren, Damien Hirst, Henri Matisse, Tracey Emin, Yayoi Kusama, Etel Adnan, Louise Bourgeois, Francis Bacon, Pascale Marthine Tayou, David Hockney and Ron Mueck.
