Defiance + Game Over
Defiance and Game Over perform a joint thrash metal concert in Musicon The Hague. Defiance, one of the original thrash metal bands from the San Francisco Bay Area, takes the stage alongside Game Over.
Defiance is one of the earliest thrash metal bands to emerge from the San Francisco Bay Area, alongside Death Angel, Vio-Lence and Forbidden. After a demo in 1987 they signed to Roadrunner Records, releasing their debut album Product of Society in 1989. Void Terra Firma brought international attention and a packed tour schedule with bands including Vio-Lence, Flotsam and Jetsam and Annihilator. Beyond Recognition from 1992 is considered by many fans to be the peak of their discography. After disbanding in 1993 and regrouping in 2009, the band returned in 2020 for Blades of Steel Metal Fest. Since then they have played shows with DRI, Vio-Lence and Exmortus, and written new material. In 2025 they travel to Europe for the first time, as special guests of Tankard during a Czech mini-tour.
Game Over in Musicon The Hague
Game Over builds their thrash metal on impact: massive, shredding riffs combined with anthemic gang vocal choruses. With six studio albums to their name, they have built a solid reputation within the genre. At this concert they form a powerful support act for the Bay Area veterans.
