Dudley Taft grew up in the American Midwest, honed his craft at Berklee College of Music and has since been merging Delta blues, Southern rock and the raw energy of Seattle grunge into a sound entirely his own. It translates beautifully to record, but the real story unfolds on stage, with an electric guitar and a band that brings the room to life.
Dudley Taft: from Space Antelope to blues rock headliner
Before going solo, Taft toured extensively across the US with bands including Sweet Water and Second Coming. From 2006 onwards, he built a solid catalogue under his own name: studio albums, live recordings and a growing fanbase in Europe, where he has been touring regularly for over a decade. In 2017 he was nominated for Best Guitarist at the European Blues Awards. His most recent studio album, The Speed of Life (2025), reached the top of the American Blues Rock Albums chart.
