Mauritshuis achterkant

International Friends – The Art Tigers is a free event for visitors and residents of The Hague, organised by the Mauritshuis. The afternoon takes place at the Mandelaplein Community Centre and begins with a short walk from the Haagse Markt tram stop.

The Art Tigers is an educational initiative by the Mauritshuis Education Department, in which schoolchildren build a lasting relationship with art. During this event, pupils present their work in a small exhibition, and there is plenty of opportunity to talk with them, their teachers and others involved in the project.

Programme at Mandelaplein in The Hague

The afternoon kicks off at 12:00 at the Haagse Markt tram stop on De Heemstraat, at the entrance to The Hague Market. Trams 2, 4, 6, 11 and 12 all stop here. From there, a short walk leads to the Mandelaplein Community Centre, where a welcome and brief presentation begin at 12:30. There is then time to view the exhibition and join a lunch with the group. If you are travelling by car, parking is available in the Q-park beneath the market.

Free to attend

There is no charge to attend this event. Those who wish to support the project can make a donation to Art Tigers via Stichting Koninklijk Kabinet van Schilderijen Mauritshuis. Contributions go directly towards future educational initiatives at the Mandelaplein Community Centre, organised by the Mauritshuis Education Department.
